Gtw detective career, the suspect refusing to spawn bug is back

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? Sims4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? EVERYTHING but highschool years and werewolves
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the detective career and issue an apb, travel to the lot and wait.
What happens when the bug occurs? Half the time either the suspect does not spawn or NO sims spawn at all, even if you wait all day. I have tried four different lots and no sims spawned ever !
What do you expect to see? I expect the suspect to show up, ideally with a few friends so I can pretend to be surprised
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I noticed it happening after the last patch dropped on Tuesday, the one updating the gallery profanity

Look at this point I’d rather just drop the case, I’m tired of being sent to empty lots, is there a cheat to drop the case and get assigned a new one? Cuz this evil teen boy with black hair wearing a short sleeved shirt just ain’t gonna show

For those struggling with this bug I was able to work around it by shift clicking on my sim and using the pack cheat, debug arrest suspect. This at least generated sims on the lot though they did not look anything like the suspect description but through process of elimination I was able to arrest the correct sim and close the case anyway. Good thing this was my sims last day at work, he quit to become a stay at home dad. Geez of all the active jobs detective is the WORST, it’s the most bugged and the most repetitive, really not any better than a rabbit hole job

Thanks for the debug tip, I was tearing my hair out and I'm gonna try that right away. This bug has haunted me for days again - usually the suspect is always the first/only Sim in the lot, in my case this one Sim was always some rando not fitting the description and not being the right subject, last time even a toddler... and of course every attempt to arrest some random Sims just to try finding the right one by luck results in bad work performance.

So I'm doing Shella's CLC challenge, and I have encountered this bug. So far it has occured only after I get promoted to detective. The previous positions were fine, but as soon as you get a new case as a detective and go to the location no one that fits the description has shown up. I still get Sims on the lot to ask about the suspect but no one that fits the description shows up. There was a tip to quit the career and do it again, still did not work. I even made sure all previous evidence was deleted from my Sims inventory so no false descriptions were added. This is beyond annoying because I try not to cheat 😭

This my first time playing as a detective too, and it sucks. 😞

This fix needs to be on their next laundry list.

Update -- I got a suspect but they were in another outfit. So, if you do get sims on the lot, the clothes are not that great as a clear because mine were in their summer outfit and not everyday. It seems the clues are only connected to their everyday outfit which is a pain. So, I would suggest viewing their outfits if you have MCCC or asking to see outfits if you cant use mods. Especially if you have verified their hair color, gender, and trait match.

This is a bug I've had for years with the detective career, with and without mods. The issue seems to always start occurring when reaching level 5 (detective).

@EA_Solaire I've sent Google Drive links for several affected saves to you in a direct message. These are from a save with no mods. If you would like me to post them here in the thread, please let me know.
