So I did the event thing to get them out of the packing event loop, and that worked. What I did then is moved my sims to another lot and once there it prompted me to start a new semester and re-enroll. Once I did this it automatically moved me into the housing of my choice. Hope this helps.

@Dalbrii Thank you!!! this worked for me. I am so happy that i didnt loose 7+ hours of progress.

Btw if anyone want to try this then click on the glimmerstone
immediately after canseling the pack up event.

I had this problem, and I had it solved by starting a party on another lot, saving the game, then exiting to main menu. Since I started another social event it kind of glitched out the other one and allowed me to save. When I went back, after the notification came up again, it actually sent me to my new lot.
