My sim has a level 10 cooking skill and has an upgraded stove. No matter what she is cooking, it almost always catches fire. Yes, she does have a fear of fire trait... but what do I do so that we can eat something other than PBJ and take out? It happens on the grill as well. I had her husband cook burgers tonight to try to circumvent the issue and guess what... burned it all up and nearly caught the house on fire. It's a TAD (no really.... a lot) annoying.

Is anyone else having problems with your sims trying to cook on a stove? I've tried cooking with each of my sims and every. single. time. the oven catches on fire. I've spent almost 20,000 sim $ on new stoves My sim is the highest-level cook, and I have one of the more expensive ovens. I no longer have any mods or cheats. This just started since the new update with infant capabilities and options. All of the past threads I've read were far too old to apply to this problem- TYIA
(I've also had issues regarding infants such as bath time bubbles don't disappear from the bathtub when the task is completed or the baby constantly has a black cloud around it from when it was rummaging through cabinets, etc)

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? whatever is latest
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? almost all packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? it's random
What happens when the bug occurs? Fires occur constantly since the new Growing together pack. I upgraded the fireplaces and they still catch fire. Sims are leaving the infant or toddler in the house with the fire and they don't always put the fire out. It's happening all the time, I've had 5 or 6 fires in just a few days of gameplay.
What do you expect to see? Not this many fires

Hello. I am new to the Sims forum. I wanted to say that I have a similar bug to this that is really affecting my gameplay. Fires spontaneously start around my sim, and I don't know why. It doesn't matter if she is cooking a salad, getting the mail, or even if she is in the shower or sleeping. At seemingly random times, she stops everything she is doing and catches on fire. I have to keep replacing the furniture around her, and she can't get her mail, or the fire alarms in the house won't go off, and she will die. I don't know how to fix it and would love some help.
I should also mention that it only happens at home, it has the homey, good acoustics, and celebrity home lot traits without any of the lot challenges, I play on the computer, and my game is modded. I disabled all mods and cleared my cache and it keeps happening. My sim moved three times after it started happening, and it happened everywhere she called home, so it isn't the lot either. The fires don't randomly appear on the lot—only the sim lights on fire and anything in a very close radius of her.

What do you expect to see? My sims make a meal, they will use the oven or stove and then the meal will be ready and everybody will eat.
