Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.52.100.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except, Island Living.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Collect ingredients and try to make a remedy, it shows as available and as the hermit lives in an off the grid style house assumed this should work but it does not work properly.
What happens when the bug occurs? If you have the ingredients the Sim will start, ingredients are used, pan on the stove but action will auto cancel, each time you resume. (Removing the lot trait does allow the Sim to continue, so i know its that trait.)
What do you expect to see? I expect my Sim to finish what they started, not to keep wasting ingredients. Otherwise option needs greying out and removing to prevent the waste.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

Same here. As a workaround take a grill.
