[NEEDS INPUT] Flooring and Trim shaded blue in interior of Open Story structure

[ Edited ]
Hero (Retired)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? n/a
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a two story structure and segment a portion of the upper floor to be an open story (here is a guide http://getsimplyruthless.blogspot.com/2014/10/how-to-make-lofttwo-story-foyer.html). Apply trim to the open story area but leave some flooring (that intrudes into it) untrimmed. View with lighting (windows, ceiling lights, etc.), then delete the lighting and view again.
What happens when the bug occurs? White trim appears to be blue. The edges of any untrimmed flooring that intrudes into the open story area also appears blue. When all lighting sources are removed, both glow white.
What do you expect to see? Trim and flooring edges placed in the interior of an open story structure should retain their usual designated colors (as seen in the palette options) and should not glow when there are no lighting sources.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Began after the 6/2/16 patch.

Here are images of the problem.  1) With lighting - windows/ceiling lights/windowed front door:
