Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Leave an owned item (specifically University books) behind on a lot and return to pick it back up.
What happens when the bug occurs? When you return to grab your forgotten item, there is not an option to pick the item up or put it in your inventory. The info bubble states that the item is not owned by the sim and it cannot be added to sim inventory. I have only noticed this with university books because I keep forgetting them on tables at the uni bar, but I haven’t tried it on other lots or with other items.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to reclaim owned items that have been forgotten on other lots.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This has been happening with books since I installed University Living.

@Rae_Regenbogen Changed this to books for now as you said you only noticed it with uni books.
