[NEEDS INPUT] [CD] Pets with friendly trait spamming the queue [ Edited ]

I've been seeing this myself in my game.

I think I've narrowed down the cause, or at least a contributing factor: Friendly Trait. 5 different pets all with the friendly trait across numerous saves vanilla or modded spammed me at some point. None of the other animals ever did (and they didn't have the friendly trait).

Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? Not sure, how do I find that?
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Get famous
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play with a dog for a while, and he will constantly want to be pet
What happens when the bug occurs? Dog fills the line with "pet" actions. Sims drop what their doing to pet dog about 15 times, dog constantly whining.
What do you expect to see? My dog is constantly wanting to be pet, about 15 actions fill the line, causing my sims to cancel their actions/drop what their doing to pet.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I do have some mods in my game, but I tried with a fresh Vanilla game as well, and I still get this issue.

The other thread about this says its been fixed, and I couldn't post on it.

Does your pet have the friendly trait ?

He has stubborn and the other traits are unknown right now.

Edit: I went in to Edit mode and he sure does have the friendly trait! I will try switching that out.

Edit: That did not fix it, he's still bugging my sims to pet him.

I ended up putting the dog up for adoption and uninstalling the pack just

because its useless for me right now, because my sims can't even sit and eat dinner without dropping what their doing to pet their pets.

As trait removing doesn't work well atm, it's possible that it's still active somehow.

For now, it's probably best to just avoid pets with the friendly trait.

For those still having the problem and aren't adverse to mods, though, LittleMsSam's Pet Pet Fix should still work for it (do a web search for "littlemssam random bug fixes").

(So far since they patched it, I haven't needed it personally...knock on wood.)
