Missing Smallfry's Quest after stuck on Smallfry cut scene [ Edited ]

The game stuck after it said my game was logged out while starting the new Treasure Hunt event.
It was stuck on Smallfry popping up for Smallfry's Quest cut scene, but no speech dialogue appear, only Smallfry standing there (Screenshot No.1), cannot progress after tapping.

After restarting, Smallfry did not pop up again but also the Smallfry's Quest did not start, nor appear in the general Quests screen (Screenshot No.2).

Now without Smallfry's Quest to unlock all the other location of the dig sites for event resources (Screenshot No.3),
Walkie Talkie meter is empty and does not recharge.
There is no way one can complete the event for the Grand Reward or obtain the Smallfry's Quest Reward or .

The whole situation started from:

I tried to update the game on my device,
and while waiting the in-game download to complete,
in order to save time, I tried to update the game on a 2nd device which connected to the same account.
However, upon opening the game on the 2nd device, the prior updating device stated that the game was logged out.
So I closed the game on the 2nd device (return to home screen) and let the 1st device complete its download.

When I came back to check on my 1st device which went to sleep mode, the download was completed,
Upon opening the game, the new Treasure Hunt event info popped up, but also the "you are logged out" message window strangely popped up again.
After closing the window, Smallfry popped up with empty screen (Screenshot No.1) and there was where the Quest as well as the Game got stuck.

The game now missing an essential Quest line to obtain the event Rewards yet the event time is counting down.

Please help, or else this would be the 2nd time I got shut out of the chance to complete a Treasure Hunt event from the start AGAIN!!
