Cant pick up anything from black market nor deathboxes

@EA_David while playing with controller on pc you can loot with a mouse while still playing with ninja controls. That way you don’t have to re-map any buttons.

What happens when the bug occurs? I am unable to loot from death boxes or black markets using my controller and can only ping them instead.
What should be happening instead? I should be able to loot from death boxes and black markets.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play using a controller with the ninja control scheme or any custom control scheme with ping mapped to the a button on an xbox controller or the x button on a ps4 controller.

This issue affects pc players as well This is not only an issue for consoles. Pc players can use a mouse to loot while using a controller until this issue is fixed.

Just another possible solution in the meantime, If you map Ping to the Circle button on PS4 or B on XBOX you can pick loot up. The only problem is for some reason you have to move the cursor outside of the loot window before pressing O or B or else it will ping the loot.

This bug occurs because on "ninja" settings or "custom binds" when "X" is binded to select items and ping at the same time maybe the game is kind of lost and only register the ping feature. in season 5 we can ping but not loot. in season 4 we could loot but not ping. the best way to fix this is to seperate the "select item" and "ping" feature. to do that we shouldn't have to change our button binds. the ping system in loot boxes and in loba's ultimate should be the same as the ping system in the Inventory where "R1" is set by default to ping. why is it not the same for loot boxes and all other menus where we need to ping. when we are in a menu like inventory, loot boxes, map, loba's ultimate the ping should be set to "R1" by default and when running around we ping with "X".this won't change anything in our gameplay. this should also be the same for ping on the map because it also doesn't work. if they do that we will be able to loot and ping at the same time. this bug is not new it is here since season 1 and no one is fixing it. this is a solution i hope they will take it in consideration.

I can’t loot deathboxes ever since I updated to new season 5.plz look at my button layout and fix it I was able to pick up items from deathboxes before I updated

(A) Ping is broken now. Waiting for a fix!
If you don't want to change any buttons then move (A) to D-pad down Extra Character Action but this will also change your Ultimate.

But you won't be able to request shields,syringes. If it's a problem then set Ping to another button.

Not sure what the current go to workaround is but at first I thought down on the d-pad was the easiest but it makes it very difficult to ping if you need health or shields (something that is prompted with the d-pad as well).

I understand things take time but I've logged on everyday just to see if there has been an update yet. I get the treasure pack and then hope off because I cant stand this game right now. I LOVE this game, but another week (its been a week already) of being treated like my gameplay problems arent really an important issue, ("switch your button layout in meantime. ", "try using this customized setting instead".), and I will never buy a respawn or EA again

They probably did, which is frustrating to think about. But they are not going to delay a season launch even if it means ruining the game for some

Man I never had this problem before the update they just need to fix it or I won’t loot lol I can still win games without loot deathboxes
