Matchmaking with friends not working

I think there is problem with EA servers, I could only play couple of games with my friends, and this made me get away from Apex Legends, because every night I spend about 3 hrs trying to join a game with my mate, but it does not allow me, so getting away from apex legends and not wasting my time.
