Marriage Proposal bug

I got engaged to someone. The marriage never happend because she died. The game still registers me as engaged to her, even though shes dead, and thus i cannot propose or marry anyone else.

How do i fix this?

TEMPORARY FIX FOR THIS ISSUE

Find the Sims ID for both Sims (via cheat box ctl-shift-c)

• testingcheats on
• sims.get_sim_id_by_name yoursimfirstname yoursimlastname
• You'll get a long number. Write that down

Destroy the relationship they have

• testingcheats on
• relationship.destroy yoursimID targetsimID (the ID's you found out above)

Many people are having this problem as well. Crincrit will post a workaround/fix if one has been found so keep checking the known bugs list

Hi, I'm having trouble with The Sims 4. Well, the spouse of my Sim Mako got eaten by a cow plant and died recently :P which was really sudden so I decided to let him marry again another woman (I don't want him to spend his life forever alone) but every time the propose option shows up it gives me Sim already married so I'm still engaged to the dead spouse. I also sent her to the other world so I don't have her grave anymore. Is there any way I can let him break up with the old spouse?   I'm well aware that this is not a bug but a problem in the making of the game. I hope you fix this issue. mileysad:

I got engaged to a sim, but then decided to kill them off by starving them, and now I am trying to have my get married but the propose option is unclickable saying that my sim can not propose because she is already engaged.. please fix this!
