Madden 17' Running with the ball issues H2H

This happens to me almost everygame and it has cost me multiple times! When im in pursuit trying to user tackle in the backfield my defender im using just like stops and strafes! On offense and i have a wide opening on a sweep my rb will just stop and jog very slowly horizontally. Ive stopped playin multiple times because of this!
