[MWS] Sim keeps eating reserved wedding cake [ Edited ]

This is about the My Wedding Stories game pack. My sim planned his wedding about a week in advance, and when I picked a cake a few days before and did the "Select as wedding cake" interaction, the cake disappeared. But it was still treated as if it were in his inventory, just invisible- he could offer it to specters in a haunted house, and when he was hungry he autonomously took a slice of it. I tried with a new cake, putting a wedding topper on it, but the topper just went into his inventory and the same thing happened to the cake itself. I have no mods currently, I'm not sure if this is just an oversight on EA's end. Any workarounds to protect the wedding cake until it's SUPPOSED to be eaten?

No, the cake remains in the hidden inventory, but my sim is capable of taking a slice out of the cake regardless of whether or not I can interact with the cake as the player- this only happens autonomously, since the cake is completely inaccessible to me as the player.

Hello there.

I totally understand what you're going through, cause I'm going through the same thing with my game.

I was like "What The Heck?!" when it completely disappeared from sight, and then instantly got angry when I noticed that took a slice of it. 

I went to go retrieve it thinking that it was in his inventory, but when I went to go get it, I couldn't find it... and frantically went looking back and forth from the fridge to his inventory, and couldn't seem to find it at all. 

So they ended up getting married without a wedding cake because I REFUSED to make another one only for it to go missing like the other one. 

Smh

I really hope they can resolve this issue as soon as possible because I don't like that this is happening and it kinda takes the fun out of going through the trouble of making it.

I seem to experience this as well, didn’t have this bug until recent updates.. the cake is supposed to get to an invincible inventory i know that. But they shouldn’t be able to eat the reserved cake. Ive made 3 cakes all of them eaten on..

Both are related to Sims taking a slice of the Wedding cake before it's used at the ceremony.

Oh my god im having this exact problem at the very moment its so annoying it makes me so mad when the sim autonomously takes out a slice of cake when they are hungry
