Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a wedding event (at a wedding venue) with a celeb.
What happens when the bug occurs? You get an error code causing you to not be able to save.
What do you expect to see? To be able to save normally.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

After playing a Rehearsal Dinner with my celeb Sim at a wedding venue, I suddenly get an error code (see attached image) and can't save anymore. 

The LE (sadly can't seem to add this, but I do have it saved) goes on about wedding venues and fans, so I assume this is related to fans being at wedding venues? Save as etc. all don't work, the only option is to quit the game without saving.

I have to say I also have a recent issue where the gameversion.txt file doesn't properly update even when the game has; the game will say in Origin that it's up to date but the gameversion.txt remains on an 'older' update for a while. I'm not sure if that is important here, but I figured it's something worth noting.

@Fierande That's interesting. That's usually due to the antivirus software blocking the gameversion text file. Maybe it's the same with your saves.

Yeah, that's what I thought too! I used to use Avast. But I checked and apparently I have 0 antivirus programs installed at the moment, and only run on Windows Defender... for which I'm not sure how to whitelist The Sims 4. I'll do some more research on that!

@Fierande Check the Ransomware protection. That's usually what's causing it.

Also the LE is for a modded game. Could you delete the LE's you have and re-create the error on an unmodded game to see if it's the same LE ?

I'll get to this as soon as I have time! Though the only mod I use is an up to date version of UI Cheats Extension so I highly, highly doubt that mod would be causing this, but I understand you need to be sure.

I tried to reproduce this error on a new save. I created Judith a Fiancée and played 2x the Rehearsal Dinne, once from calendar, once from phone. I could still save the game as save as and overwrite save after a week. I played too a wedding event without problems (I only use Windows Defender, and never had an issue with it) // I have all DLC + Kits

Personally Note; I really think they should blacklist fans and paparazzi if you have a wedding event on a wedding venue. The event was awful as celebrity! I don’t recommend it. I hope you figured out why you can’t save your game. Sorry that I don’t could help.
