Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.59.73.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion packs Dine out and parenthood game pack Bowling Night Stuff, Movie hangout, Romantic Garden and Vintage Glamour stuff packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure I have removed all of my Mods and CC and it still won’t let me play.
What happens when the bug occurs? When trying to load the game it goes back to world map then says “The game failed to load. Error Code: 120:50c5d29:ea793bbd“
What do you expect to see? To load the game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Other forums aren’t helping.

@NicoNaastyTested your save and I do get the same error on them (all your backups as well).

Few questions as it throws a LE with bills involved

- Did you ever have the bills in dorms issue ?
- Are you using SNB bills from SimRealist and did you save the game with the outdated version in ?

From what I can recall, I never experienced the bills in dorms issue -- I also have yet to play much with dorms, so it's possible that I would have experienced that issue If I played more with them. Can't say for sure.

I'm 99.9% sure I was using the most recent version of SNB bills at the time. (I did remove it right before updating TS4 due to it not yet being updated for the latest patch.)

I don't believe I have any other mods that affect bills in any way.

EDIT/UPDATE: Putting SNB bills back in my mods folder allows me to load into the game properly and everything works as it should. I guess my save became "dependent" on the mod and removing it requires more than simply deleting it from the mods folder?

@MiaPetrova18 Splitting your post as you get a different error code.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

  • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
  • Tray Folder
  • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
  • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
  • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
  • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@ClaireB497 Could you try the factory reset I suggested to the other user (have merged that thread into this) and if it doesn't help, please upload your save to google or one drive and PM me the link.

(PC) Jan 16th, 2020 Patch -- Error Code: 102:50c5d2d:e6793561

So after updating my game for the latest patch, I'm afraid my saves may be broken/corrupt.

The game loads perfectly fine all the way to the map. Once I try to load/enter any household/lot, I receive an error saying "The game failed to load. Error Code: 102:50c5d2d:e6793561 It is recommended that you relaunch the game."

This happens both with and without mods/cc.

I'm able to start a new game and load into lots without any problem.

Not entirely sure what to do, but I'd hate to have to start all over. Frown

I'm having the same issue, except that I can't start a new game either. I got this error first when I still had CC installed. But now I've completely uninstalled all CC and yet I can't load a single save correctly or create a new sim. Any new household in a new save I create instantly vanishes when I try to move them into a house. When I try to load an old save, I can load it until I try to choose a sim to play, at which point I'm brought back to world select. What has happened??

EDIT: I tried again and I can successfully start a new game now, it was just the first time I tried that I got that error. Still can't load any old saves at all.

Hi @NicoNaasty and @adultfiendfinder

Would you be willing to share your save with me ?

If so, please zip your saves folder and upload it somewhere like dropbox,, googledrive or OneDrive and PM me the link.

Actually I think I got everything working again. Removing all my saves from the folder, repairing my game files, then putting my saves back in the saves folder seems to have fixed the issue, at least for one save. I'll test my others and see if they're working again, if I run into any further issues I'll be sure to come back!
