Left stick drift (Ps4)

Every time after I'm done dragging my left joystick down it inputs like I'm pressing up aggressively. How do I fix this? On Ps4. My controller has no issues with any game besides Apex.

★★ Guide

If PS matches XBOX, your options for the deadzone are small or large on the movement stick and it's set to 'small' by default. It's in the main settings.

The only other option, as far as I know, is to replace the pad. It's a hardware issue, rather than a software issue.

Unfortunately all you can do is try to increase the stick deadzone in the settings, which may solve your issue but will make it less responsive to play.

Failing that your only option is to use a different joypad. It's a hardware issue with the joypad, rather than anything on the software side, as far as I'm aware.

You could try cleaning the joypad though you may end up making the problem worse - when I've had stick drift on my joypads they were under warranty and I was able to get them replaced with refurbished ones by Microsoft (am on XBOX).

@sketchseven Then why does this controller only have problems with apex? It works perfectly on every other game i've tried

Because you likely have different settings for the controller dead zone in the other games than Apex does.
