What happens when the bug occurs? Lifeline's new respawn ability is completely haulted when in caustic gas, even when its friendly. Causing the lifeline to not be able to revive at all while in the gas.
What should be happening instead? her drone should be able to be deployed in friendly gas as it doesn't harm, and works in Bangalore smoke as well.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simple, go into firing range. One caustic player and one lifeline. Have the caustic lay down his traps around him.pick up a knockdown shield. Have the lifeline down the caustic with friendly fire while the caustic stands in his traps. Right before he dies, have the lifeline stop, activate all the traps, then finish and completely down the caustic. turn off friendly fire. Have the life line try to revive the caustic in the gas. the drone will constantly be deployed back and forth but never revive. This doesn't matter if you hold down the button, or tap it on the keyboard. It is completely denied until the gas goes away. As soon as the traps disappear, you are able to revive again.
I dont know if this is intentional or not, but this completely changes and can mess up game play. A caustic trying to bunker down or protect a team inside, can be unfortunate and get downed, and cant rely on a squad mate to be revived since if one is lifeline, they cant do anything. normal revive option for lifeline wont work as the drone is now the default. And if the other squad mate is down, which is when i learned of this issue, then you have to wait for the gas to go away which can be too late for the team. Caustic has just turned into more and more of a hindrance for his team. For random matchmaking, teams cant tell if its friendly gas or not and some cant communicate that. Now it can be a burden to even revive him?! something as simple as changing smoke color for friendly smoke to something like blue rather than yellow/green can make a huge difference. But for now, hes just not viable.
