[LD] No Death Flower from Opening Starter Flower Seeds at Cemetery

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them including Life & Death (thanks to EA for the free early access code.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Get The first favor task from Zelmira Gomes 2. You get several tasks, one being find a Death flower 3. Tool tip says I can get one by buying starter flower seeds and opening the seed pack at the cemetery lot (or grafting of course)
What happens when the bug occurs? Only got regular flowers at the cemetery. Tried both at a funeral or otherwise.
What do you expect to see? Getting a death flower as the tool tip suggests or if it needs extra steps, info on that in the tool tip.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Installed early access L&D in my game.

I've tried all the regular starter packs. Didn't try rare ones or opening them at night or any other thinkable scenarios to get them.

There might be a misunderstanding from my side but from this tool, tip I expect to get one with the simple step of opening a starter flower seeds pack while on the funeral lot. I made sure my Sim was actually on the lot.

I have the same issue. I tried opening at least 20 flower packs in different conditions: during the day, night, as a ghost, during a festival, after restarting the game. It never worked.

Someone also wrote that you can buy the death flower from the mysterious merchant, but he never has one.

Ditto on not getting a death flower from opening starter flower seed packets in the cemetery.

You can get a death flower from the Mysterious Rancher if you have Horse Ranch and befriend him.

As a ghost, I was able to deliver a death flower without ever having one in my possession. As soon as I took the quest from the Death Obsessed Lenore Member, the Obtain a Death Flower step was ticked off. And no, I checked several times, and there was no death flower in my possession. Not sure if this is a bug or working as intended.

@richvh I had it tick off at some point in one of the games without having one but then I was unable to do the last step.

I too was unable to get the death flower from the starter flower seed packet mentioned in the tool tip. It then occurred to me to try opening a Farmer's seed packet at the cemetery and that did work to get a death flower.

However, that 1) isn't what the tooltip says and 2) doesn't unlock until a sim has higher gardening skill (level 7 per Carl's Sims gardening guide, mine had maxed the skill so I had to check), so would make it harder to do.

Same issue for me; I opened a packet of starter flower seeds at a cemetery but no death flower.  I'm now trying to rack my brains about how else I can get one (apart from spending ages grafting one) so that my sim can finish the tarot card quest!

@JuniperWhimsy if you don't want to use cheats (i.e. bb.showhiddenobjects), and your sim can't buy Farmer's seed packets, I have a room on the gallery with a death flower (and other ambrosia ingredients).

Also, in addition to getting one from the mysterious rancher if you have Horse Ranch (which was mentioned above), if you have Realm of Magic they sometimes sell them at Castor Alley at Magic HQ.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start the quest for the Order of Lenore member to get a death flower. Purchase starter flower seed packets and open them at a cemetery.
What happens when the bug occurs? The seed packet doesn't give a death flower.
What do you expect to see? A starter flower seed packet should give a death flower at the cemetery.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I purchased 5 starter flower seed packets before travelling to the cemetery in Ravenwood, and when I opened the packets, none of them gave me a death flower.
