Infant is stuck on sims body

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.365.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to work, Cats & Dogs, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, High School Years, Spa Day, Vampires, Parenthood, Realm of Magic, Werewolves.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not really sure, but my sim just picked up the infant to put it to bed when the bug triggered.
What happens when the bug occurs? The Infant is stuck onto the sims body, even though the sim isn't holding the infant.
What do you expect to see? I thought that the animation would work like usual.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

• The bug stops after restarting the game, but now when my sim picks up the infant the bug triggers again.

@Kutchakokoff Did you delete the localthumbcache file after removing your mods/cc ? have you tried resetting bot Sims and infant ?

@crinrict Ive done all of that and Im still having the same issue as the user above.
Not a great start for this new addition.

@crinrict do you know how to fix infants from standing up in case/stretching out? They’re also seemingly stuck with cc eyes that are occult ones. I don’t know how to fix it.

@gnarkills2 To my knowledge, that's mod related, so move your mods folder to the desktop and delete the localthumbcache file until mods are cleared or updated.

@samela90 Are you using any mods/cc ?

this happened to me yesterday. I had to reset my sim and it fixed it. I use MCCC and UI cheats both of which are up to date. I don't think I should have to reset my sim for a bug . Especially because it cancels everything theyre doing.

My infant sim attached to one of my other sims and would not come off even if I restarted the game, by the time I got her off she got taken away and I can’t get her back
