I can't see my friends online

so after a match I waited for my friend to come into the game. I waited and after that when he was in the lobby I couldnt see him even online. so I couldn't even invite him, I tried everything like: logging in and out, restarting my laptop, unfriending and befriending him and going in and out of the game

Hi @Schnitzelsalads. 

It sounds like one of you two might be on a beta version of the Origin client. There was actually a change recently that will temporarily prevent someone on a beta client from being able to see users who are not also using a beta version. For more details check out this post over at the Origin board:

After the 30th it should be possible for beta and non-beta players to see each other again, but in the meantime you can opt out of beta clients and restart. That should allow you to see your friends again.

hi all. so when i am on the main menu of my game and i am in a call with my friends on discord they say there playing apex so we want to play together. i then go and try and invite him to my game but he is appearing offline. i ask him to check his status on origin and he is online from his perspective, vise versa. any help thanks.

How do I see when my friends are online on my friends list when I am in-game? This bug started on Monday. Friends on my friends list are not showing up online

If you're still not able to see anyone on your Origin friends list can you try clearing out your cache to see if that helps at all? You can find more details on how to clear it over at the EA Help website.

I've been gaming for over 20 years, I'm playing online games since 2005, and I have never seen an online games with those bugs. The first online game I got addicted to was GunZ, and I never experienced those kind of bugs... In this video, my friend is online but not showing as online in my friend list. We keep communicating via Whatsapp trying to play together, but this bug makes our request for playing together not showing for each other. I was able to send requests because we just played one match together, and I left the group we were to make another one with him, so I could send requests via that "last squad members" function.

It took him a long while to receive the request and join, but even after that we still appear as offline to each other.

I'm having other bugs like the game losing connection with the server, some freezing screens once in a while (it's not happening as often as in the previous season, but it happened, even though I'm playing in the lowest graphic quality but the game recommends the highest, I've already made a post about it), chat disappearing (so I can only communicate using mic), part of the squad members joining a match while others in the group stay behind and don't join the match... 

When  I think about all the other online games I played, none of them had these bugs. I played PUBG years ago and I didn't have none of this huge errors... So it's confusing to me how in 2021 an online game doesn't keep connection stable among squad members, doesn't keep the chat onscreen, doesn't even show your friends when they are online... Is it this difficult to implement? I'm honestly very confused about this game and considering stop playing... Isn't it time to stop working on new cosmetics and put some quality at this product, so it runs properly? EA could offer a payed version with separated server were the game would run as it should...
