How to fix Error Code EC:10000 or EC:10500 in EA app?

I'm having exactly the same issues. First noticed my games being all weird so had to uninstall and repair them ect but that didn't work. Now I can't even log into my account because of this error code. I've tried uninstalling EA but it can't even do that without crashing and not uninstalling correctly. The app recovery short cut doesn't actually work and also causes the app to crash.

Summarize your bug Won't let me log into ea app. I have tried to do the app recovery but this crashes and comes up with an error message. Won't let me log into ea app without coming up with the error code EC 10000 and telling me there's a problem with my account.  I have tried to do the app recovery via my Windows 10 but this crashes and comes up with an error message. I've also done a clean boot, disabled my antivirus/malware/vpns, and uninstalled and re-installed the app, nothing's worked.

Close app open task manager and end task EA background Service

Type "Run" in the start search screen and open it.
Type "%loacalappdata%" on the screen that opens and press enter.
In the new window that opens, find and delete the "EADesktop", "EALaunchHelper" and "Electronic Arts" folders.

This worked for me.

Having the same issue. This is why people are leaving to Steam in droves. EA is nothing nut one issue after another. We all know everyone wants to spend hours of their tree time trying to solve the issues they pay EA to solve.

I don't know if it will help anyone, but my VPN was causing this error message to pop up. 

So, try turning off your VPN if you have one!
