What happens when the bug occurs? My shots did not register even when they clearly came into contact with Pathfinder if a frame by frame playback of the fight.

What happens when the bug occurs? I was shooting a Pathfinder with a Longbow and half of my shots did not register despite the fact that I can see them connecting with him when I play the video frame by frame.
What should be happening instead? My shots should have done damage when they hit.
