High School: No Option to Attend Career Day

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? ALL
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Wait for Career Day to appear on the calendar. Go to school. Wait.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing. The career day basically functions as a calendar entry. I saw a Creator Network player's video where she mentioned Career Day is held in the auditorium with a game-controlled set-up (like the Community Centers).
What do you expect to see? To see a functional career day my Sim can attend and gain some kind of career or skill-based benefit.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

Career Day is a bust.

 Immediately after posting this, Career Day started. Not at the day or time indicated on the calendar. (I'd just edited my calendar to filter out fairs and holidays but doubt that triggered anything.)
