[HSY][DO] Town Square Terrace restaurant won't work

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.98.158.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? EP: All EP GP: All GP minus Batuu Stuff: Paranormal,Nifty Knitting,Tiny Living,Moschino,Toddler, Fitness, Vintage Glamour,Backyard,Kids Room,Romantic Garden,Spooky
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to make Town Square Terrace lot in copperdale into a restaurant
What happens when the bug occurs? It will show up as complete venue but then when you try to visit it in live mode you will get error message and the lot will pretend its incomplete again but there is all the items and no matter how you change the lot it just won't load as restaurant, if you change lot type to for example cafe the lot works fine
What do you expect to see? Being able to set this lot a restaurant if I so wish and game loading the lot.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

also yes I relaunched,
I reinstalled whole game leaving no files in
I tried other restaurants in the save no problem,
it doesn't work in any other save either I've tried

I also removed half of the build making sure theres nothing blocking any item

only way this lot works is if its different lot type

@Simmingal Is this only lot you have issues with ? that error is a known issue for CC furniture and there's a long thread on the topic here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/DO-Error-123-20ece5dd/m-p/7099951#M4353

To be absolutely sure, your mods folder is empty except for the resource.cfg file ?

Do you get any lastExceptions with it ?

@crinrict I don't have any cc or mods, never added any cc or mods in my game at all

and as for files all of them are new except of my saves and tray I transferred back in after reinstalling

I deleted the whole The Sims 4 folder when I uninstalled so all files are newly created

it still doesn't work after the reinstall its same error message and if lot is restaurant it doesn't load but it loads if its cafe or residential which are two other lot types I tried

as for last exceptions there is one in my folder now but I'm not sure if its connected

@Simmingal Could you delete all the ones you have (LEs that is), then trigger the error and see if a new one got created ?

Yes I got Last Exception for this too

I put the restaurant in new save, it didn't work, just as it doesn't work in the original save,
I then tried replacing the chairs and tables with DO chairs and tables in case it just does not recognize HSY chairs and table
turns out that let me access the lot while its restaurant

but with whole UI being mess like this and I can't click things

i also had this with the original save just entering the residential lot but I thought that was because I was for some weird reason missing my cache folder,

but it being problem with this new save, after I reinstalled and now have the cache folder and all the files as I should I don't think that was the cause after all

@Simmingal also I do have all the chef stuff in the basement I could try bulldozing and just adding the DO items in that lot nothing else and then try to access it as a restaurant

Could you to delete the Exception Files you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

I tried this on my save with a random restaurant from the gallery and that didn't give me any troubles. Could you maybe upload yours to the gallery ?

It's just that one lot you're having issues with, right ?

Okay turns out I might have solved it actually

and I feel very dumb and sorry for wasting your time now 😅

I had absolutely forgot that diner chairs from DO count as chairs for the restaurant so when I completely took apart the upstairs of my restaurant I noticed the diner seat up there was ever so slightly clipping together with the other diner seat

the restaurant loads normally now that I removed the diner seats

I still find it weird whole UI would mess up because of that though :/

I did have enough seats just downstairs so its not like losing that diner seat would have made the lot incomplete either
