[HR] [CD] Pets/Horses produce Sim gravestones when they die [ Edited ]

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Eco Lifestyle, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get to Work, Vampires, Dine Out, Outdoor Retreat, Tiny Living Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a pet die when your Sim is away from home or while you are playing another household, and the grave will be a Sim grave upon your return, instead of a pet grave.
What happens when the bug occurs? I leave my home lot (or am playing another household), my pet dies at home while I am away, I return to my home lot and the grave is a Sim-style grave instead of a Pet-style grave.
What do you expect to see? That pets produce pet graves regardless of whether or not I am currently playing the household or are away from the lot.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

This is super annoying, as I want to have a pet-only section of my cemetery and this screws it all up. Has anyone else been having this issue?

When a pet in my household dies, their graves are not always a pet grave/urn. It sometimes is shown in the sim forum of graves/urns.

I find that this happens when I am not in the current active household when this happens, this is when this occurs. If an active sim is present, and no matter if the pet is in their household, a played household, or an NPC household, the pet graves/urns are always pet graves/urns. However, when I am off a lot, the grave is there when I return, but it is not a pet one.

Is there a fix to this bug? I want to make a graveyard where you can tell if that grave has a pet in it. I care about ghosts and do not want any of my family/pets culled! Is there a way to work around it? Perhaps, I could debug a pet grave, and then make my ghost pet posses it? I am not sure if this transfers graves or not... 

I have the MCCC Mod and that is all the custom content I have.

I have the Cats & Dogs & Discovery University Expansion packs, the Vampires, Parenthood, & Strangervile game packs. Although, this bug occurred before I got Discovery University and Strangerville? 

Any help would be appreciated as I cannot find any solutions on the web... Thank you.

@Timmering, thank you for telling us you use the MCCC Mod!   Is your version of the MCCC mod up to date?  The creator of that Mod is usually pretty good about updating it every time it becomes outdated after EA updates TS4 in a patch.  Your problem might be a bug, but we have to rule out any conflict from your Mod.  So, if you could please do the following  it would help out! 

1) Move the Mods Folder to your desktop

2) Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder.

3) Fix you game in Origin by logging in and go to Library, then right-click on The Sims 4 and choose the "Repair Game" option from the list.  Wait until Origin finishes repairing all your packs and not just the base game.

4) Now, when you turn on your game again, it will create a new mods folder that will be empty.  Check to see if your game is now working without mods/CC.

If that fixes your problem then you know that your Mod is outdated, which means that you need to go to the creator and download the latest version!   (Deleting the localthumbcache and repairing the game will help get rid of any corrupted data that might remain behind, which is why I listed those other steps! ) 

However, if you did the steps I listed above, and have the most recent version of MCCC and you game still has problems, then I would think your problem is either one of 2 things:

1) there could be a chance that the pet graves were not working and either the Mod or the graves have been updated so it doesn't happen to any new pet graves, but that all the old pet graves affected by this might remain as human Sim graves. 
2) or this could be a bug that is still unfixed.  I check the list of current bugs that is pinned to the top of the Bug Reports section, and couldn't find your problem under pets or under graves.  But if like you said that this happens when your Sim is not with their pet and is on a different lot, it might be rare and that could account for there not being a Bug Report on it yet.  So, you would need to file a Bug Report on this by going here https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/The-Sims-4-Bugs and describing what is going on in your game!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It's a random mix of created pets and adopted game generated pets. Short lifestyle play. If I have a few pets I've adopted at once then there is a higher chance of getting at least one human tombstone on death so make a few households, adopt and create a bunch of pets who have the same age, play until death (they usually pass close together) I find those who are due to die on the same day, more than 3 there is a greater chance at the human tombstone.
What happens when the bug occurs? Pet dies and leaves a human urn/tombstone instead of a pet one (see pic)
What do you expect to see? a pet urn/tombstone
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I did start a new game, no mods. It's a bit of a wait because it only seems to happen when you have a few pets who are due to die on the same day, single deaths and sometimes double deaths work as normal, it's the 3+ where this occurs. Having said this, It did happen only once when two pets died on the same day, see the pic for Waffle the cat's tombstone.

Unsure if this intentional or a bug, couldn't find any info saying pets are suppose to 100% get pet urns/tombs, I'm assuming so here.

When a horse passes away in a household I am not currently playing (it occurs both in households I haven't played before, as well as households I have played. It seems all that matters is that it isn't my current active household when the horse who lives in that household passes away).
What happens when the bug occurs? The horse recieves a sim's tombstone instead of a horse's tombstone. It still says their name, it is just the wrong tombstone visually.
What do you expect to see? A horse styled tombstone

This issue has been occuring for me since the release of the horse ranch dlc - any horse who dies in a household that isn't my current active household (whether I've played them before or not) recieved a sim styled tombstone in place of a horse styled tombstone.
