Game ignores fullscreen setting at launch

Things I've tried to resolve this:
Changed to full screen in settings.  Change will revert later.
Changed C:\Users\%user%\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local\videoconfig.txt line to "1" to try and force full screen. Will revert.
Added -full to launch options.  Seems to have made launching in fullscreen more consistent, but will still sometimes launch in windowed.

Nothing I do seems to 100% reproduce this bug. It's infuriating.

This now occurs >90% of the time. It's actually gotten worse the more I play. Nearly every time I launch it now launches in Windowed.

Experienced the same thing, but that is the least Respawn can think about at the moment. They still have crashes to fix and game-breaking bugs. What I did is I switched to borderless windowed. That way it looks like fullscreen and it launches everytime

Try this-

1. Open origin and go to the application settinsg in the top left under origin.

Go to the installs and saves tab, then disable cloud storage.

Run the game change the settings and restart the game to test it.

Possible issues that make this bug occur:

Saved data fails to update settings to the cloud server so when you run the game it overrides the new settings for old settings.

Possible Cause: poor internet connection.

2. Navigate here:

C:\Users\Tiberiusmoon\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex

Delete the Profile folder.

Run the game change the settings and restart the game to test it.

Possible issues that make this bug occur:

Profile.cfg fails to update along with video config.txt when closing Apex.

Let me know if solution 1 or 2 works!

Solution 1 appears to have worked.  Couple restarts in a row without it having to be corrected.

Really bothers me that the -full launch option is overridden.

This bug can happen with windowed aswell.

Something is off with the cloud.

It could be the timings of when the files are uploaded. (closing the game too soon)

or network connection.

Ill write a report on this in detail for the dev's to look into.

Scratch that.  Just opened as windowed again with cloud sync turned off.

it might be origin based issue since the setting is in origin.

The origin app has a habit of not saving the setting properly. . .

Okay looks like Origin app is the cause and thats what affects apex.

Ill have to forward my findings to the correct forum section.

Altho is may say is disabled it likes to turn itself on online because Origin app is like a mini browser.
