GBTW My sim freezes yet time keeps going.

Sims 4, back to work... my Sims keep freezing, not allowing me to do any commands even pause, yet time carry's on making me waste hours of the day. also I've noticed even when im on build mode time still passes as well as twitchy Sims. I have no custom content so this must be a bug in back to work.
