GAC did not auto set my defense during round 3 [ Edited ]

I always set squads in round one of GAC and roll with it for all 3 rounds. This time it did not set them for round 3. 

I can attack, but the teams it was supposed to put on defense aren't available for offense.

I went ahead and attacked in order to salvage some points from this round. But I'm sure this is some kind of bug. I did not access GAC during defense phase and therefore break the auto set protocol that I'm aware of. Plus the teams that I had expected to be put on defense were not available to me for offense. So the game recognized that they were unavailable due to defense commitment.
