@pingtlI believe you think you signed up, but actually did not do it.
At least that is what happend to me. I also believed I had signed up (could see the feats, got a rank, etc.) but I simply missed to hit the extra (green) button in the lower right panel.
I am frustrated about this as I thought the whole day I was already signed up.

Mine did the same thing i looked all over for a join button when the panel changed and even looked online to see what to do, my join button never showed up just no event active come back soon

I actually was able to join, and set defenses, as did my opponent. But it skipped straight to the review phase at the end of the setup phase.
