He said it will be fixed in day 1 retail release patch which is Feb 22nd.
aah yeah this makes sense.. dialogue options gives you a faction point per selection.
in the back end, each dialogue option probably corresponds to a checklist which can be tallied up to get you your faction points total.
Since some people picked a certain dialogue option and got that check marked, you cant select it again.
Silly to have a "have you selection this option" check here though.. i would just let the code override the option if it was re-selected.
Unfortunately the patch is here and this is still a problem. However, now it's even worse! Instead of getting the typical error, it now crashes the entire app to desktop, force closing it. So this was not fixed!
Why did they release this patch nearly 40 hours early!? Clearly it wasn't ready. So many other things advertised in the patch notes also don't work, like the audio cutting out still being a thing and the Ultimate gauge still showing as ready when it's not.
I'm also seeing the crash to desktop talking to Owen. I saw the update come down (on pc), so presumably I've got the day1 patch, I ran through the repair stuff, still crashed choosing the same paths as before.
I'll try choosing a different path to see if that gets me past it, but I don't want to lose out on faction points for being negative about something because I can't move forward any other way.
