Yeah like I said its LITERALLY identical problem. Pressing on the screen will make noises as if its working in the background but absolutely no visuals apart from a 2 second loading screen. Wtf are they doing about this, if anything??? My girlfriend has spent money on this game and keeps banging on about something about shes lost out on 20 days? All i know is she's not happy lol

@ValeinaRaiden Weird! The sounds don't come on right away for me, but they do come on. When I open the app, after the blue screen comes up and the screen goes black, I wait a few seconds in silence and then I hear that little login flute bit and then the other game play sounds. It's maybe about 10 seconds after the screen goes black. =S

@diggaduz I received a message from EA Support saying my ticket has been escalated to their specialists and that the case is in "good hands." I received that email at 4am EST today...4 days into the issue, but oh well. At least I'm glad it's being worked on. Although this gives me little peace of mind as to when we'll finally be able to play again or how long it'll take to even find/fix. Maybe this is the universe's way of trying to rid me of my Sims addiction, heheh.

I read the reviews on the app in Google Play and seems like a lot of other people are having this dreaded black screen issue--not only the few on this post. I keep opening the app every few hours hoping for a miracle, but no such luck yet. Frown

I have the exact same problem since I updated Friday. It shows the new blue ea screen then my name pops up at the top and black screen.i also hear sounds and was able to tap the bottom left corner and finish my events .I keep reinstalling it and checking for updates to see if it had been resolved but nothing. I tried on a Huawei tablet and Huawei honor phone and both have same issue

@CrimesForCandy I see comments like that as well on the play store for the black screen issue. I sure hope they solve this quick although I do not have such high hopes, probably it will take a while.

@ValeinaRaiden I hope this isn't the case, but I bet we're probably gonna be SOL until the event ends, then hopefully be able to get back in after the game returns to "normal." It definitely sucks missing out on the event rewards, but what kills me the most is all the fashion gems I've missed and continue to miss out on. That's the compensation I care about the most.

By the way, everyone, still no word from the EA specialists after the case was elevated by EA support. I was basically told not to touch the case until THEY contact me. So, besides this post and the Sims Mobile FB community, my hands are literally tied.  Disappointed
