[NEEDS SAVES] [XB/PS] Red bar showing in upper right corner

I’m having this same issue too. Even when I go to build on a completely empty lot, it’s there. It so annoying

So after the update today I had this weird red rectangle appear and disappear randomly in the corner of my game where the game notifications would be. Sometimes it covers them making them unreadable and others it jumps to the back of the notifications so you can read them but there's a red rectangle behind it. Super strange no clue what it is but it's annoying. I'm on xbox if that matters at all.

Hi there @Krystella28 if it happened after the recent patch I'd try restarting your game completely. If that doesn't work there's an open bug report here if you want to take a look at it. There are images on it if you want to check if they look like yours. If so if you'd like to click Me Too on the first post on page 1 and add a reply. You should be prompted with a bug template to complete.

Hey all, 

Quick update on this issue from our side: The red bar is purely a graphical glitch and has nothing to do with a fire code. While it is annoying, it doesn't pose any risk to your save data.

We're currently testing a fix for this issue we hope to release in a future base game update.

I think it may have something to do with the size of your current lot or maybe the amount of things you have saved in your gallery/library. I was building earlier and it wasn’t there and then when the lot got bigger it appeared. Could possibly mean the lot has become corrupt if you use move objects and merge different objects together/closer. It only seems to appear when I’m online, and o can’t upload lots with red bars to gallery. VERY FRUSTRATING.. Hope this helps

@Irezawa Yes I’m PS5 and I have replied with what I think it could be. When I see this red bar I can’t upload my lot to the gallery and it seems to show when I use move objects… So my guess is maybe the size of the lot, corrupt or gallery/library having lots of creations

Heya, @princessxjessie

Could you provide your PlayStation save (instructions: http://x.ea.com/74420) so we can take a look into this? Please include your library files - Slot0000000f.save and any other information that you think would be helpful to us in replicating the issue. 

Again, the red bar shouldn't have any impact on gameplay or Gallery upload, it's purely a graphical issue we're hoping to remove shortly.

Same issue here. Playing PS4 version on PS5, I don’t have all the packs but just started playing again, obviously had to update and that red bar is there.

Exactly same problem I try to build a graveyard for my Sims and it popped up for me. I wonder there a fix for it because I wonder if clicking on the cart would make it go away.
