[CL] Sims Cannot Satisfy Give Apartment Key Whim [ Edited ]

[this was in a household of spellcasters] 

for me, it seems to be a different whim time I play.

This time it was all whims regarding books/reading that wouldn't fulfill.

Like read a book or finish reading a book.

Neither did the aspiration task fulfill.

- Tried to do the book whims at home and on another lot

- I tried to quit and restart the game

- Clean cache files

- Repaired game

Same here. It began when I downloaded ROM (though, perhaps it could have been the previous update as well -- I didn't play much for the last month, and *just* bought ROM). I used the story option when creating my character and am playing in Glimmerbrook. The lack of whim fulfillment happens both on and off my own lot. Occasionally, the whims you cannot pin will fulfill, but none of the pinned whims have worked.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Same my sim had the whim to get engaged so had him propose. But the whim didn't fufill. They got married this morning. Lol.

Edit: noticed others saying pinned whim weren't completing.. now that i think about i had the whim pinned but other whims like make a new friend which i hadnt would complete.

@Abradley745 It doesn't matter in my game if they are pinned or unpinned. Many of them won't fulfill.

@justyniaok1I think this post should be marked as the temporary workaround. Too many people keep asking the same issue.

Same issue. When I pin a whim it will not complete. I do not have ROM.

In my experience pinning or unpinning them has nothing to do with it, just if you decide to go to another lot, travel their first, save and exit game, reload the game and you can then fulfil your pinned whims, or just to save time, don't go out at all..

@imhotep168 Posting workarounds is good but it also gives EA excuses not to fix things.

@PurpleSweetTart That's too bad. The workaround could just fix 99% of non-emotional whims, some like Go to pubic venue (by going to library was the only solution before) could not be fulfilled. This whim happens pretty often in my game.

Same issue, I have ROM installed, most wishes are not fullfilled ;(
