Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have an adult sim adopt a child via phone or computer
What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim approaches the boundary of the plot but nothing happens
What do you expect to see? that he disappears and after some time appears with the child
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It was working today before the update. Immediately after, it stopped working.

We've now released the latest update for The Sims 4 on all platforms, this issue should no longer be occurring and this thread will now be closed. 

If you are still seeing any issues on console after this update related to the adoption process, please create a new thread here.

There were 2 game updates released today, you should currently be on version 1.108.318.1020.

Please ensure your game is fully patched, and let me know if the issue persists.

@EA_Solaire I am on newiest version (update 1.108.318.1020), I checked and yes, there is a bug with adoption... Im on PC, mods never used. In a new saves there is bug too. Sim just do not go away for the child

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use the phone or computer to adopt a child
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim walks to the front of the lot, begins to fade out, and then seems to immediately reset. The child is not added to the household.
What do you expect to see? The child I selected to be added to my household.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

After the most recent patch, it seems sims can no longer adopt. I tried multiple times with several ages and my sim t-poses and resets as she tries to leave the lot.

Having this same exact problem still. mods disabled, game fully updated. sim starts to fade then resets immediately with no child and no household funds lost. -_-

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? try to adopt a sim
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim goes to the end of the lot and the action is effectively cancelled.
What do you expect to see? the sim leaves the lot and returns with the adopted sim
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
