[OPEN] Sims return from Work/School early after loading screen

Ran into this issue as well.

Today's a surprise Holiday, Neighborhood Brawl in this case.

Also happened to coincide with the Romance Festival.

One sim heads off to work for the day, another Sim gets asked to go to the Romance Festival via Phone.

They accept and travel on over, and upon arriving, a small amount of money is added, and I see the Sim who had gone off to work, suddenly not at work, and in fact doing Karaoke over at the Karaoke Bar in San Myshuno.

Just like the others reported, there's no option to send them back to work, and the affected Sim takes a large hit to Work Performance.

I had saved shortly before leaving to go to the Festival, but now the Sim just comes back home upon reloading the save.

I've just had this issue occur on two successive sim days.

On the first day, my sim went off to work and I sent her wife to the Romance Festival to see what plants were there for grafting. As soon as the screen loaded for the festival, my sim left work. She'd only been at work for an hour and a half. Her wife stayed at the festival like she was supposed to, but my work-deserting sim didn't appear there. I presume she went home, but I didn't check. Just exited without saving.

ETA: When I first reloaded the save, she came back home from work partway into the shift (like the entry above) even though I hadn't sent her wife off to the Romance Festival at that point. I had to recover an earlier save so I could avoid taking the performance hit.

On the second day, the surprise holiday prank day happened, and I sent her off to work as normal. I decided that I wasn't going to have them participate in prank day and ended the holiday early, and the second I ended it, she came home from work even though she had 3 hours left of her shift. And she took another big performance hit. Not fun.

I think it's from the latest patch because I have the same issue but I haven't purchased the seasons.

I had the same issue and just realized it was Lottery Day; I first had my Sim in the Social Media career work from home and sent her to San Myshuno to find 5 Sims to do Mischief interactions with (one of her assignments). Not only did her kids come home early from school a message popped up that she was "missing work". I exited without saving and the next time I played the game I sent her to work, and her mom (she and her boys live with her parents) stayed home (she's in the Gardener career) but forgot and got the same "missing work" message plus everyone coming home when I sent her to Sixam in the family rocketship (she needs just one more geode to finish the collection). She'd already finished her work task for the day. Haven't experienced this bug before Seasons and the holiday system; I'll play through and see if it happens on a non-holiday day.

I asked my female sim to visit all part of San Mychuno and it happened when she visited the waterside Warble..? When she visited the gym in San Mychuno, had no problem. What about your case?

Adding my name to the list of people experiencing this bug. I only just encountered it because up until now I was playing a single sim household but her partner just moved in with her and while he was at work I decided to take her to the gym for a bit of socialising and a workout and the second I got there I got told he'd returned home... he'd only been at work for 20 minutes in game time. It was "Talk like a pirate day". Very frustrating.

Then it might cause at the random place? In my case, my sims were ok at the gym but always happened at the karaoke lot.

It's been a month and it's still not fixed? Gosh EA, please hurry, it's nearly impossible to play the game like this without losing one's nerve >.< I'm becoming used to not being able to travel or change my sims appearance while others are at work or at school, and it's really frustrating!

Same issue for me. It doesnt always happen as i go to my bakery every day of the week except weekends, but as someone mentioned. If it inly happens during a holiday, it makes more sense and its probably why it occurs sometimes. Pls fix it! My teens are getting low grades and im trying to get the highest grade for one. This is NOT helping.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Send some sims to work or school, have at least one or two sims lefts at home, travel with a sim to a new lot or go to manage worlds and return back to the home lot. Or send some sims to work or school, have one child sim receive a call from a friend to play hooky, then accept to play hooky a lone Or send some sims to work/school while on a non-home lot and then travel back to the home lot, the sims who were sent to work/school will come home
What happens when the bug occurs? The sims that are at work or school return from work or school to their home lot when you travel or go to manage worlds If you travel with one sim, the other household members do not travel with you which is as expected but go back home instead of staying at their job/school When I try to send them back to work or school, there is no option to do so The sims that were at work or school receive a lowered performance for "skipping" work/school I receive the corresponding simoleons for the sim-minutes or few sim-hours my sims have worked Teen and child sims receive a decrease in responsibility character values
What do you expect to see? I expect the sims I do not tell to leave work/school to stay at work/school for the hours they are designated (unless I tell them to leave early or skip) while traveling with a different sim who is either not working or I have told to leave early
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

This bug occurs when traveling, going to manage worlds. Often, when other sims are in rabbit hole job/school return home and I travel with a sim who is not working or I have told to skip school, everyone comes home rather than continuing to work

I am not sure if this occurred at a specific time but I feel as though I only noticed it after installing Sims 4 Seasons.

This bug results in decreased work or school performance, loss in money for the sims with jobs (in one instance I sent a sim to work while I was in a communal lot, once they arrived to work [I received the notification telling me they left for work, the sim's image grey-ed out], I traveled with a different sim back to the home lot and the previous sim who was sent to work before travel returned home and I received 10 simoleons from their minutes working), and because I have Parenthood installed, it results in a decrease in the responsibility character values for the children who are sent home as a result of this bug.

I have 5 sims in this household (two adults, 3 children) 1 adult was working, one was at home on their day off, the three children were at school. In one instance I had tried to send one child sim to play hooky. The child received a call from a friend, I accepted the invitation and made sure to only click to travel with the one sim. The sim and the friend arrived to the location (the blues lounge in willow creek of all places) and I received a notification that all the other sims returned home, and the two children that were still in school at the time fell out of range to earn the Responsible character value.

When the sims do return home from these places (work or school) after this error occurs, I can’t send them back, resulting in a loss I cannot fix without cheats (such as adding the money that should have been earned into the household)

I have to always worry about leaving or just completely wait to leave the house until my sims return home for the day because of my disinterest in this happening.

It doesn’t always happen but it is happening more and more frequently and is frustrating considering the losses experienced. It is interfering with gameplay and making the stories take longer in a way that is more frustrating than fun

I use testing cheats for cas, bb, motives/needs, resetting sims, and teleportation regularly. I had the MC Command center mod installed a while ago but deleted the files from the mods, and have restored my sims 4 folder since
