Can't age up one of my sims

Hi, so I have all the sims 4 expansion games and up to the latest update.
I have made a sim and made her marry guy she met in the city. My sim's age bar is filling up and working normally however the guy's age bar is not working. The bar is fully grey but it says he has 4 days to age up. And he's been on 4 days for a week of sims time now. I tried to bake a cake but while she can age up it says he's not eligible to age up. Any fixes for this? Thanks

sounds like you have the weirdo trait issue.

Please try the workaround in the solution post of this thread I merged yours into.

Hi, I have tried that but it's not working. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong somehow or missed some step but the bar is still greyed out and still can't age him.

Did you do testingcheats first ?

Yes I did. I even tried to exit the game and go back to it again after typing the cheats to see if it worked then but made no difference

Also is there a way I can age him up with a cheat for now?
I tried testingcheats on and editing age in cars but it won't let me change it saying "cannot edit pre-existing sims"

Try shift-clicking with testing cheats and age-up but it might not work either.

Maybe it's a different issue. 

Can you also try patching your game today and see if it makes a difference ?

After trying combination of cheats I managed to get him to the adult stage for now.

I patched the game but it didn't make any difference.

Is he still not aging ?

No, he's still stuck on 4 days and with a grey age bar
