Out of Season Plants Glitch

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.105.345.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Wedding Stories and Home Chef Hustle and various kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Plant a variety of plants on a lot with Seasons installed (not under shelter)
What happens when the bug occurs? Sim is unable to interact with plants that are out of season, but these plants are still affected by weeds, bugs, lack of water, and will die (not become dormant). These plants may also still produce vegetables while growing out of season, but are unable to be harvested (cannot interact at all). A partial interaction menu comes up, but it does not show "harvest" or various garden tending interactions or plant evolution commands, and the interactions that are on the menu cannot be clicked.
What do you expect to see? I expect the plants to function as intended according to seasonality. Barring that, I expect plants that need to be tended or harvested out of season to be able to be interacted with.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It began happening after the first update released immediately prior to the release of the Crystal Creations stuff pack. It has persisted through all of the hotfixes and hotfixes to hotfixes since then.

If the plants are out of season you can no longer weed, water or just generally tend to them, which makes them susceptible to rotting. It didn't use to be this way and I've lost plants that were PERFECT because of this!!! This needs to be dealt with!!!!

I found the only thing you can do is use magic spell to tend to the garden out of season, like the rest, you can do anything not even evolve.

@gewalker98 I've been having this issue still myself this month and hoping that progress is being made on it, since I didn't quite see this part of glitches mentioned on the Laundry List. Hoping for the best and will avoid gardening, cottage living, nectar making, and simple living gameplay for now until further news.

@nokomisma Those other things in your game should still be working and there's probably no need to avoid them. If you're short of ingredients for things because of the plant bug you can just order seed packets from the computer or order groceries/visit a Cottage Living stall. But since quantities are limited at the stalls and with deliveries I just order a lot of seed packets to stock up.

Oh sure, yes, they still work. I just get easily frustrated when my Magnificent Cherry tree is on the brink of death with flies and weeds & I’m unable to save it! My little heart can’t take it lol. I like to participate in the Finchwick Fair Competition with garden produce, plus relying on selling the harvestables to pay the bills is pretty lucrative when you have such nice quality plants. Not all plants have this glitch, it seems, but I’ve have issues specifically with fruits.

@nokomisma do you have Realm of Magic? If so try the Floralorial spell on each plant.
My large Cottage Living plants like lettuce and pumpkins weren't affected last I checked.
I also really dislike being unable to tend other plants out of season. I've got loads that need to be evolved just sparkling until they are back in season.
You can also try shortening the season as if it's only a week long it might not be so tough on your poor plants.

I also have this issue, but have found a workaround within the game.  Using testing cheats on, I shift click affected plant and change it to “in season”.  This means all options work for me again and I can weed, spray bugs… However if sim travels by phone then I have to reset the plants to in season again when returning home.  A bit laborious, but it works if you don’t want to use any mods in your game.
