[OPEN] [S] Cannot tend to plants that are out of season despite requiring [ Edited ]

One of my apple trees got weeds AND bugs, see the lack of option to take care of that. This cannot be intentional by EA. On the carrot plants the options are always there, just greyed out because they don't have weeds or bugs.

P.S. I at least "fixed" the watering issue by putting a sprinkler in the middle xD

I can't evolve or fertilize my out of season plants. Fortunately none of them have been getting weeds. It's almost like time has suspended for them since they are out of season.

Maybe not exactly the same thing, but I've noticed recently that once plants go out of season they seem to still get weeds and bugs, but there's no interaction available to treat these problems or tend to them (presumably because their out of season. Therefor, by the time their in season again, they have usually died. It's...very sad really.

This is frustrating that Out of Season plants are still ready to evolve but I can't evolve them until they are in season. The plants just keep on sparkling away but there's nothing I can do about it. That's going to drive me to distraction. Unfortunately, being on Xbox Series X even if there is a mod to address this it won't be available to console players.

@caribland I'm also having this issue, it definitely showed up after For Rent came out. It's super annoying that my rancher sim can't tend to her garden because some of the plants are out of season.

Just had an apple tree get weeds in Spring (so out of season) and can't weed it. Can't water newly planted plants if they are out of season. This started with For Rent expansion. Currently playing with mods disabled, so not mod related.

Can weed and water in-season plants.

I'm having that issue too (no mods or cc installed, Sim at a high gardening level etc). It seems that they cannot take care of out-of-season plants when they used to be able to, even if that plant has weeds or bugs. They also cannot evolve those plants. I've been told by other players that those plants won't die, they're just kind of frozen in time. But still, it's non-sensical and annoying.

The only thing I cannot do to out of season plants is weed them.  I can harvest them, spray for bugs, water, etc. but I cannot weed.  I play a vanilla game. The only cheat I use is Motherload. I have all games except Werewolves, Vampires and a few of the kits. Oh and my plants are in a greenhouse.
