Can't do anything to out of season plants

@Bunny_Blunk It's by design that you can't do stuff to out of seasons plants anymore. That was a change with the new patch.

That you are still getting weeds and bugs is a bug tough so I merged this with the existing thread on the issue.

I have the same problem -- weed grows around trees outside that are out of season, I also can't fertilize them -- hence they can't evolve. Why would this be by design since the last patch? A grown tree needs care no matter if in season or out of season. Also, I have the weed problem with plants in my big greenhouse, where I grow all my ingredients for nectar making and my vegetables. However, the behaviour is not consistent -- sometimes I can weed the first plant of a garden patch but not the other plants of that same patch, and sometimes I can go back and try another plant that I couldn't weed before. However, this is very time consuming and my ranch hand and my SIM are constantly weeding.

When the "Seasons" expansion pack is added, out-of-season plants stop growing and cannot be harvested.
But it must be a bug if they can't be watered or treated for weeds.
Since the moving scarecrow is taking care of the out-of-season plants, either the player or the scarecrow's behavior must be wrong.

So it's a spec that I can't do anything to the plant out of season. I understand.
Then need to improve that spec now.
Where do I send my request?

I am having issues weeding plants even if they're in a greenhouse. The blower might work on one plant and then none of the others. I've had to use cheats to mulch in order to get rid of them. Watering is fine indoor or outdoor. I'm definitely having the same insect and weed issue with my outdoor orchard. I can't weed or spray with out of season trees. I, once again, use cheats to get rid of them.

I have the same issue, what makes me think this is a bug rather than a new feature is the fact that when I use the debug menu to set the plants as weed-free the weeds instantly regenerate. Thankfully using the debug menu seems to keep them watered, but I'm worried about losing all my expensive trees :,<

They’re not on pause. My plantain tree just died because it got weeds and bugs I couldn’t treat because it’s out of season,

I've noticed this as well, plants dying when they rarely did before becausse I can't tend to them.

Since the For Rent patch I have also been having trouble with planted trees. I can't weed them, can't water them, can't even evolve them. The options just don't show up in the radial menu when I click on them, unlike on other plants where they are greyed out. The Debug menu doesn't do anything, and I've already tried just replanting them thinking maybe they're bugged, but newly planted trees are having the same issues. The only thing I've found that actually works is the floralorial spell for spellcasters, saved my trees from dying in summer.

Yeah, of all the fixes and workarounds, Floralorial is the only one that reliably works 100% of the time for me. My game has been populated with a lot more spellcasters since FR came out 😂
