Re: Can't give gifts to other sims when there is a painting in the inventory

Yep I did, and when I took them out I was able to give gifts. It's a strange bug.

(Edit) I went back a save to confirm even with paintings I was able to give paintings not sure if that's because I stopped playing yesterday continued today or something else but none the less thanks.

Thank you very much.

Re: Crystal Creations: Can't Fertilize Plants or Give Gifts from Inventory

Same, If I knew this would happen, I would not have bought the crystal pack. I really like running errands in Cottage Living, and now I can't give food to NPC. I can't enjoy the game now...

I’m having the same problem. It’s from the crystal creation pack. EA needs to fix it hopefully they will. You can make the food into a sack lunch and it will work for now

No, no paintings in any inverntory.

I read some of the answears here and tried removing the following items:

- Cooked spoiled food items
- All cooked food items
- All edable items and ingrediets
- Anything crafted
- All animal treats.

Result:

Jams, honey, potions, herbal infusions and salves, fruits, berries, herbs, vegetables, oversized vegetable, ingredients and knitted items where all fine.
The problems for my sims where cooked food, watermelon conserve, animal treats and crafted tall candles.

It is strange though, because when I put the animal treats back in my sims inventory gift giving still works. I tried all kinds avaliable. I wonder if it might be affected by the number of animal treats. I did not put them all back because I just didn't have it in me to put back 50 items one by one. But watermelon conserve and crafted candles ruins it right away when I put them back, in any sims inventory.

ME TOO added.

This also limits my Paranormal Investigator's offering options to flowers for the time being. I haven't tested other non-food objects yet. I'm receiving the same LEs if my sim's baked cookies to offer an upset spectre. I can only imagine Cottage Living is made ruinous by this and who know what else. I can confirm it affects Paranormal Stuff.

Me too, i can't gift the chocolate cake to Rahul and the desert to Agatha (cottage living)

I had no painting or prepped food in my inventory.

But after I put the chocolate cake put of my inventory, it worked again.

I just played Winterfest on one of my saves. My Sim was unable to give a Winterfest gift. My Sim had no food items in their inventory but did have paintings and cross-stitch items in their inventory, waiting to sell on Plopsy.Devil

Re: [OPEN] [S] Can't give gifts to other sims with certain items in the inventor

★ Guide

I cannot gift items to other sims. Game freezes, makes a weird sound then crashes to desktop after a few minutes. Has happened more than once. I have also had the game crash to desktop 2 other times without aby action prompting it. Backed up and deleted files, repaired game, started a new save without mods and this still happens!
