[OPEN] [ROM] Spellcaster Level Reset

Hard to believe, nearly two months on with a new expansion due, this bug is still not fixed!  In my opinion having the Virtuoso rank constantly reset upon filling the bar is a major bug and all new expansions/game packs/stuff packs should halt immediately whilst they focus all their efforts on fixing this.  (Although I have already preordered, and paid for, my Discover University expansion, so I guess I am part of the problem - I would happily wait a few more weeks for University if it meant they can focus on fixing this 'gamebreaking'* bug.).

Been saying that right from the start. They just don't care fixing a bug not gonna make them any money. Pushing out another broken pack will. I'm not even playing anymore. Ive given up on this was a big waste of money.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Travel to the magic realm when at the highest rank and ask a sage to teach you there magic
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim is at the highest rank with all spells from each one learned. My friendship level is high with all three sages but none of them will teach me their magic. For example if i go to a sage and ask them to teach me untamed magic the tell me they cant teach me until im a higher rank. Once the bar for the virtuoso is filled its just goes back down to empty as well.
What do you expect to see? My sim and the sage go to practice magic together, assume that's what they'll do when they want to specifically learn a certain magic.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Once the bar for the virtuoso is filled its just goes back down to empty as well.

If you have each spell learned, what else do you want to learn ?

I want my sim to learn untamed magic, they wont teach unless your a higher rank and my sims is at the highest rank.

@chaapsmcgee I think the message is just misleading. If you're spellbook shows all the spells from all schools as learned, there's nothing more you can learn.

Each sage teaches one school so if you have spells from untamed magic that you haven't learned, you need to ask that sage and not one of the others.

This appears to be fixed now. After reading today's patch notes, I tested with my bloodlined virtuoso, first with the mod I made (and mentioned one or two pages ago) and then without it. When she overmaxed with the mod still in place, part of the experience bar remained filled in. Exited without saving, reopened the game, ran the test again without the mod, and the entire experience bar was cleared and she didn't lose her virtuoso level.

Spellcasters with the Bloodline trait will no longer have their rank reset if they reach the Virtuoso rank.
