Is this more what you are seeing: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Toddlers-calling-sims-to-pick-them-up-while-talking-not/m... ?
or there's this one: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Check-infant-toddler-interrupts-all-attempts-to-care-for/...

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.108.335.1020 DX9
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Horse Ranch, For Rent, Toddler Stuff, Tiny Living, Snowy Escape, Seasons, Romantic Garden Stuff, Parenthood, Outdoor Retreat, Nifty Knitting Stuff, My First Pet Stuff, Little Campers Kit, Laundry Day Stuff, Kids Room Stuff, Island Living, Holiday Celebration, High School Years, Growing Together, Get Together, Get to Work, Get Famous, Eco Lifestyle, Lovestruck, Dream Home Decorator, Discover University, Desert Luxe Kit, Cottage Living, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Blooming Rooms Kit, Bathroom Clutter Kit, Backyard Stuff, Life of the Party Digital Content, Lovestruck Heartbreak Happens Digital Content, Outdoor Playtime Digital Content, Vibing Streamer Gear Digital Content, Bonus Content
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try putting infant in crib when theyre tired. Try putting them in the highchair when theyre hungry
What happens when the bug occurs? So lately if I try to put my infant to bed before my sim can even turn around the baby does the "Help!" action and my sim immediately takes it back out of the crib and puts it on the floor where it'll finally fall asleep. Even before they're able to use the "tell bedtime story" or "Soothe to sleep" option. The only way I can get around this is to make sure my sim has something to do immediately after placing the infant down and canceling the action every time the infant calls for help. Sims placing the baby on the floor also occurs with the highchair. One sim will place the infant and move to the spot to begin feeding them. They will stand in that placement until another sim finishes their current action and comes and takes the infant and moves it to the floor. The sim that placed the infant in the highchair will then do the little glitch T pose thing and then go do something else. All while the baby just lays on the floor hungry.
What do you expect to see? The baby should stay in the crib and cry instead of being moved to the floor. Other sims should not be able to interact with an infant if another sim already is.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I do not have any because the other "error restart game" glitch wont let me play

Do you have a Last Exception file for this issue? They should generate even if you can't save the game.
Hi! I'm SimmerStar4 (they/them). I'm not an expert on game issues, so don't take me as one! I'm just a Sims player who wants to try and help fellow players, and who finds game bugs and issues interesting. A lot of issues following the Lovestruck patch (23 July) have already been reported. If your issue is described in one of these threads, please report it there:
September
I got so frustrated I decided to sell all the baby's toys, high chair, crib etc and wait for the social worker to take them away, then the baby fell asleep on the floor.
October
- Parent Sims will no longer get stuck standing idly in front of the crib when trying to interact with their sleeping baby.
Fixed in Patch 1.110.265/2.01
Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issues
