[OPEN] [PS/XB] Sim randomly wearing Makeup

I’m having similar problems. I’m on PS4 and when I go too create a new sim and put makeup on for example eyeshadow and i use the sliders too change the colour the makeup disappears? Help..

Wow I stopped playing because of this glitch around when the mountain expansion came out .. and it's still happening! Why isn't this fixed yet... It's ALL MAKEUP ALL SIMS - Xbox one here .... anytime you change a eyeshadow it converts lipstick to whatever it wants.... Then you change the lips and it changes the eyeshadow..... It makes the game no longer fun to play .... I refuse to spend anymore money... I own nearly every explanation and kit and if they aren't going to fix this bug it's not worth playing. They should of never added the sliders to the shadow and lipstick it ruined the game! 😡

@Carys1302 I also have this problem. I just got the vamp stuff. I see this major cosmetic bug has not been solved for almost one year, so is it possible to get a refund on my ps4 for the vamp expansion that caused this? Or do we just accept that you wont fix it and move on to another game? Cause I’m definitely not playing with this ugly makeup on.

This is happening to me too on the xbox. The makeup keeps switching colors and I can’t seem to find a fix for this problem

I only have base game on ps4 and the eyeshadow just applies itself even if i haven't chosen any makeup for that sim. (And if you have a SIM with multiple makeup looks it becomes impossible to have the sim look how you want as the game just changes it as soon as you click away) the makeup will change if i change the Sims outfits or as i switch from catagory to catagory and even from sim to sim if i have multiple Sims in the household. And if i delete it it comes right back. Super frustrating. Just makes me want to turn the game off honestly.

Since i only own the base game i think it's safe to say that no particular pack is at fault. Simply a base game issue and i hope they patch it soon. If it is helpful my game and ps4 are fully updated as of this posts date.

@CRYwordsNOTtears Hey there, that's really interesting to know. It likely confirms a suspicion that it was caused by the addition of sliders for skintone and makeup customisation instead of being caused by a pack. So that could be helpful in fixing it.
In the meantime, try avoiding all customisation sliders and MAC makeup completely. That's what stopped it in my game. Good luck.

Hey i can only use like 3 different makeup looks because everytime I try and use a different type of makeup like vampires or get to work it won't LEAVE ME ALONE. Say I put on a get to work eyeliner, and I decide to change it to something else or god forbid I try and change the color... It won't leave. I'll turn it off then go to change my hair or something and it will pop back in a weird color. Then I have to restart the whole game and just gotta remember not to touch like half the makeup. It's on console btw. It happens everytime and I have most packs (all packs except the wedding pack and 3 kits) so sims takes a good 15-30 minutes to fully open. So I dont exactly like that.

I would like to report a bug that has been happening to me in the sims for many months, i play on console (ps4) and when I have my sim created, and I go to put on makeup, when I change clothes or even when I go from lipstick to eyeliner, the color changes or even the option chosen.

Hopefully one day they can solve it, because it is something desperate not being able to choose what to put, thanks!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to create a sim and start creating a sim add some make up and then take it off or leave it on (it doesn’t really matter) and Continue creating after a bit check on the makeup and you will see it either changed (it’s the eye make up) or it’s there even if you didn’t add it It does the same on child sims too (which makes it annoying to get off)
What happens when the bug occurs? The Makeup is either changed or if you didn’t put it on it’s there And it’s the same for child sims
What do you expect to see? The makeup being the same as I chose or not being there if I didn’t want it there And for a way to fix it if it gets on child sims
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? go into create a sim and put any makeup on a sim, change a few items (of anything) and the eyeshadow should change to any colour of the MAC eyeshadow. i also went into play with genetics and made a kid with a random parent, and the parents that the glitch was happening on, and the same glitch happened to the child if you make any changes on their appearances (may take a few changes to see glitch but will happen), and i cant take the makeup off because it’s disabled for toddlers & kids.
What happens when the bug occurs? MAC makeup appears on any sim (even if it’s not available for them) after every changing an item (clothing, makeup, hair, etc)
