Re: CAS SIMS 4 makeUp GLITCH

★ Guide

I believe it is done on purpose even though they will not admit it. Sims 4 is known as a queer game. I don’t like that label. However, it is a game promoting LGBTQ+ lifestyles. The idea is that it's OK for a male Sim to wear makeup, skirts and other clothes normally associated with women. I have no objection with that, and I do believe we should have the choice. So, I tip my hat to such initiative. The only problem I have is that The Sims games series, always gave players the control on what they want their Sims to look like. This game is a simulation that allows us to build our own reality, a realistic one maybe, but also a different one.

I see young men wearing make up on the street and they are not necessarily gay, and what if they were? Live and let live!

I think, however, that the game should make it easy for players to customize those things.

@dmr723 It's a bug. It even affects pets and toddlers and can't be removed in many cases. It also changes before your eyes. It's a known bug that started when sliders were added. No deeper meaning than that and hopefully will be fixed soon so we can go back to using MAC makeup and sliders again.

@simsplayer818 Maybe...maybe not. My game doesn't have this bug, but I have one where about one out of every five men spawns wearing woman's clothing, accessories, makeup, etc. I have to delete them by hand using MCCC constantly. So yeah...without dissecting the code you can't make that assessment just like I can say it's intentional.

@Nintai83 I'm not making any assessment. I was actually reporting a bug in my game that began when MAC makeup was added for me and for others it was the Vampire makeup.
It now seems to be working in my game and no issues have been reported on this thread for some time.
What you are talking about is the randomiser, that's a different issue. ALL Sims generate with all kinds of random accessories and clothing. We all joke about the eyeball ring for example.

Hey all,

Closing this thread out as this issue is no longer reproducible on the latest The Sims 4 builds.

Please note that saves which already had this issue present will continue to see the issue, but it will not occur in new saves.

Thanks!
