[LAUNDRY LIST] [PC/MAC] Save Error 0 (Patch 1.86.166)

This bug was the bane of my existence because it affected my longest running legacy save, and I was checking for possible fixes here daily the past couple weeks. My save is currently working again and has been fine for the past three days! Here's what helped me that I saw a few people suggest, in case it benefits anyone else.

What I tried at first that didn't help:

• Repairing my game
• Uninstalling/reinstalling my game
• Moving saves folder elsewhere, and starting the game to let it generate a fresh one before moving save files back
• Deleting .tmp files (they would just come back with each error code/failed save)
• Save as (it would work, but then the new save file would still have the error code)
• Turning off the romance and friendship change options in neighborhood stories

What did help:

• Under game options > gameplay, I unchecked "Allow automatic breakups"
• Went to manage worlds and saved from map view a few times as I played before saving normally again

I still haven't turned the romance/friendship changes back on in neighborhood stories because they might screw something up, but I didn't have to turn off neighborhood stories completely to get my save functional again. I also didn't have to remove any of my mods or CC. I'm not sure if saving from map view after I unchecked the breakups option was necessary, but it might help. I do think the issue was that one option though, because I think I got a call from my sim's family member about a divorce before the error started happening. Hopefully the patch tomorrow fixes everything, but thought I'd share just in case!

Cautiously optimistic, but I may have fixed my "corrupted" save file. I went into the file and turned off neighborhood stories, and unchecked the allow romantic breakups in sim options for the game. I saved. I went back and it didn't take. I checked my save folder and the save was there as a .tmp file. I deleted the older save, and then deleted the .tmp extension on the newest save. I went back into the game. That former tmp save was there. I renamed it Test and played it. It was the last family played in the save pre code 0. Oddly I was playing Lillith Vatore and had just given her a dog and a new job, as a romance consultant. Made sure my mailbox had no notices and then played a bit and saved a couple of times, and it worked.

• When attempting to save, "Error Code: 0" no longer occurs related to Gigs or Neighborhood Stories.
