This just happened to me...and not even my recovered saves are working. I’m freaking out!

This just happened to me as well. My family was going to attend the romance festival, then they error code popped up. I have my folders saved on a flash drive so I was wondering if a full reinstall of the game would fix it?

I tried reinstalling and it doesn't work. I really hope they fix this soon it's been going on for over two weeks

The information provided in post number 520 worked for me even without using the administrator account.  I frequently save my Tray and Saves to a separate thumb drive so I actually used those rather than the ones that were in the Sims 4 Old folder.  By the way, this happened after I added a mod to keep my sim from Reacting in Disgust. I will just let him react in disgust from now on LOL .  I have not reintroduced the mods and CC to my game at this point. 

EDIT. I take it all back. When I tried to travel with my Sim, it happened again. It seems to be related to traveling for me anyway.

My bum sims definitely didn't master a skill before the error code popped up. I'm on a MAC as well

nice to see theyve given a promising update. i was worried they would be working from home etc thats why its delayed. Bloody Covid!
