Hello everyone

I have been dealing with this problem for two days now and I can't find a solution for it.

my sims can't use the stairs, every time I want them to go upstairs they start telling me that they can't and I don't know why.

I have tried everything I could've think of.

I tried removing the stairs then adding them back and it didn't work.

I tried removing any fencing around the stair and it didn't work.

I even removed the modes that I have and tried playing without them and still my sims couldn't use the stairs.

please help me!!!!

is this a bug that they're trying to fix??

my sims still can’t use the stairs.

my house is a villa with an open roof yard at its center with stairs leading up to the second floor and my sims still can’t use the stairs.

i went on Twitter to see if i’m alone and i found that people been complaining about this but since January.

so i’m still waiting to see if anything will change in future updates.

I'm using the 6th workaround with placing a fence around the staircase opening before deleting the floor. It doesn't look so good with the fence visible so I found this invisible fence, which is actually a gate:

Placing it around the fence does make the fence go invisible. There do appear some floating shadows from the object, but at least it looks better than with a fully visible fence.

I do wish this would get fixed though.

Occurs to me that perhaps, instead of using a fence, you could use spandrels. It would accomplish the same goal of separating the manually deleted floor from the auto-invisible floor, and you could do some interesting things with it as well.
