[FIXED] Off Grid Living: Can't clean dirty plumbing [ Edited ]

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All to date.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure if bug or intentional but Sim can not clean dirty pluming appliances. Use, Off The Grid lot trait. Have plumbing appliances, toilet, shower get dirty. Clean is greyed out says, Plumbing does not work of the grid.
What happens when the bug occurs? Very dirty appliances that can not be cleaned without removing lot trait, or buying new.
What do you expect to see? Prior to this patch, I had been playing a Sim who had not paid bills in weeks. She had no power or water but could still use toilet but not flush and she could clean though. Just confirmation, this is an intentional change.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

Applying the self cleaning upgrade, fixes the dirty appliances. So issue solved.

This happens to me too. I don't think we should have to upgrade our toilets in order to clean it...

Same here. Off-the-grid lot trait, Mother Nature's Lava Sink got dirty and Clean option is greyed out with the hover text "Plumbing doesn't work off-the-grid."

All the packs ever, ancient ancient gamesave (been playing the same save since the base game came out), have had mods, although they're quite limited, usually removing censor mosaic, Show Sim Info, and recently the one that fixes broken vampire Dark Meditation.

This seems to be the case for all "off the grid" plumbing...including the washing bin for laundry.

I also hate that the off the grid stove for gas can only cook grilled cheese and eggs and toast? That's weird to me...you can cook a lot more with gas then that. But I don't think that is a glitch.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Live in a lot that has the lot trait Off The Grid, then attempt to clean a plumbing object that is dirty.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I try to clean the plumbing object (which can be used off the grid), the option to do so is grayed out, saying, "Plumbing doesn't work off-the-grid."
What do you expect to see? To be able to clean the object that has been made dirty, instead of the grayed out option and the message.

Whenever I try to clean a dirty object which can be used Off the Grid, the option is grayed-out, saying, "Plumbing doesn't work off-the-grid." This is a problem for obvious reasons, and I highly doubt it was intentional. I can use testingcheats to make the object clean again, but I would definitely rather have my sims be able to clean the mess rather than having to cheat my way around it. I hope there's a fix for this soon.

I can confirm I have this same issue. I do use mods, but this just seems to be some weird quirk with the new off the grid lot trait. I mean, c'mon, surely we can still clean off the grid? Seems like an oversight in testing.

@loyabe Sigh, I wish that we didn't have to upgrade to self cleaning just to clean an object. Cleaning by hand sounds so much more off the grid than having sinks that can clean themselves!

I have this issue too, it makes it so that if I don't have a sim that can upgrade to "self cleaning" I need to delete and re-buy things like sinks and toilets even though they're ones that work off the grid.
I'm assuming it isn't by design seeing as you can still clean counters/bars/floors etc

Packs installed: Get to Work, Cats and Dogs, Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Vampires, Outdoor retreat, Laundry Day Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff
I've tried removing mods/cc and it doesn't change anything, still can't clean anything plumbing related.
