Unable to split / move household

A sims that is not a part of my household asked to move in, and as the window for spliting househould opens, I added all sims into currently played household and with that all the funds were to be transfered, I'd click checkmark but nothing happens.

I tried removing one household and transfering some funds, still nothing.I'd confirm but nothing would happen - checkmark would become gray and I can't exit the household split window, unless I crash the game.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When you ask a sim to move in and then hit the arrow moving them over into your current household then hit the check to accept. It does nothing.
What happens when the bug occurs? When you ask a sim to move in and then hit the arrow moving them over into your current household then hit the check to accept. It does nothing. I have to go to my windows screen then close out the game and go back in.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see it accept the sim moving in with funds.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The Sims updated and I added the new expansion pack.

The screen will not let you move on, accepting the move in or exit the screen.

This start happening to me only recently. I play on Series X. Every time I try to merge households, it takes the money and says it's moved them, but the tick greys out and nothing happens. I can back out of the moving screen and play as normal, but it won't let me move anyone in. I can through Manage Households, though.

I recently downloaded Seasons, Romantic Garden Stuff, and Get To Work, if that makes a difference.

The Sims four won't let a female sim move in with a male sim I play with. It's frustrating and just keeps breaking my game.

Yes that's exactly what mine is doing.

Yes same issue. soooo annoying please get it fixed. I havent got the rent pack as most people here

Mines literally doing the same thing I done had to manually shut down and restart the game so many time. Until I figured out I had to split two of them out in their own household and then merge them in by going all the way out .. where they looking for their own place then move them in .. it was so difficult and still confusing

Thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy! I recently installed the game on a new computer and was pulling my hair trying to figure out what was wrong, I've taken out all my mods and still encountered the issue however if the sim I want to join my household lives on a lot and isn't marked "Not in World" it is not an issue.
