[OPEN] Merging households through dialog doesn't proceed

@Behappy1st Huh? I already got the sim I was trying to move in moved in I posted my work around to get him moved in.

I have tried to do this and merge the "currently not in world" with the ones at my house, but the sims that I want to join cannot be found in my households. I can only invite or see these sims by inviting them to the current lot via sims in my active household. Do you know of that happening, too? That in addition to the can't join household problem since my update has been causing a lot of issues for me. Has there been any solution to either problem?

@Heautontimoru Mine doesn't let me move parts of a household either. Through dialog as you described. Works, but buggy when moving through manage worlds.

@Heautontimoru Mine does not let me exit the moving action. The only way to proceed is to exit the game. So all progress is lost if I haven't saved beforehand.

Have you already tried to move your sim in the other's household? Doing so should unlock the confirmation button. Let me know.

@BigButchBrooke I am also having this issue. I think it is when I'm merging households completely - eg one of the households essentially disappears, as I'm merging everyone into one.

I am having a problem moving sims in together. I've been trying to get a single sim moved in with my sim, but every time I move them over to my sims household and click the 'check' button, it greys out and refuses to do anything. If I mess around with it to try and get something to work, it puts me in the world map as if the sims were moving and resets both lots the sims lived in previously. I've taken out my old sims 4 file, which the exact same thing happened in, and restarted to my current save. I've removed my mods folder and reset it as well as repaired my entire game. I don't know what else to do. Someone else on Tiktok posted a video five days ago with the same issue, however they seemed to fix it by moving all sims into their household and moving the others back to their own. However, I'm trying to move a single sim household into my own so that wouldn't work for me.

I am having the same issue. Merging instead if moving sometimes works.  In some cases I had  to invite the Sim to the household I wanted them to move too and use the MCCC “add to family” cheat.

I’m having the same problem, i wanna add my boyfriend to my household n nothing happens when i press the check mark button n if i press back it just doesn’t do anything

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have the Beach one and the famous one
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By going into my account and seeing the problem and doing something about it.
What happens when the bug occurs? I want to have my boyfriend join this household, and it gives me the option to but everytime i press the check mark button after switching him to my household it just turns grey and nothing happens. this has happened to me so many times and has ruined my game experience.
What do you expect to see? The switch household screen should go away and my sim boyfriend or whoever should be added to my household n i should be able to play his or her character.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
